Salish Scenes: Sketches from the Land and Sea
Illustrations and story by Mary Jo Davis. In every issue of Tideland Magazine.

Our ninth issue of Tideland Magazine was sent out to area locals in early March 2024 with my Salish Scenes article detailing the annual Opening Day of boating. My family and I enjoyed sailing in a very casual Opening Day race here on Bainbridge Island. The conditions were perfect: sunny, 75 degrees, and a moderate and constant wind. Fingers crossed for another such Opening Day coming up next month!

Printed copies of Tideland were mailed out and are still available for free in select locations around the West Sound. Or you can view the whole magazine online: www.tidelandmag.com

I'm pleased to offer two distinct calendar designs for 2024: Salish Scenes and Mugshots. Salish Scenes showcases illustrations created for my recurring article in Tideland Magazine, while Mugshots features playful coffee and tea still life paintings and drawings, a delightful collection created from the Instagram #mugshotmondayart challenge.

Visit my store for online purchasing complete with pictures and detailed information on each design. I extend my gratitude to everyone who supported my budding printed goods business last year, and I'm hopeful you'll find joy in this year's offerings too. Just like last year, these calendars and stands are crafted right here on Bainbridge Island, Washington, so they’re a great way to support local businesses.
