This series of cups and mugs is affectionately called the “Mugshots Collection” in honor of the Mugshot Monday Art challenge that ran for several years on Instagram. The artwork was inspired by this weekly art challenge filled with an encouraging group of artists. They motivated me to return week after week and to experiment with different media such as watercolor, colored pencil, mixed media and collage.
